Habitat Restoration Projects Tour
May 20, 2022

The Cascadia Conservation District and Cascade Fisheries are co-hosting an ecological habitat restoration-focused field trip.

We’ll tour a diverse set of local restoration projects including riparian, floodplain, forest, and aquatic habitats currently at various phases of implementation. Topics of discussion will include an introduction to site selection, challenges and constraints of project implementation, and examples of work being done in Chelan County to restore important wildlife habitat.

Attendees will have at least one opportunity to actively participate in restoration activities at project sites. Additional information for individuals interested in starting restoration projects on their own property will also be provided.

Bring: Snacks, closed toe foot ware, long pants, plenty of water, sun protection, garden gloves (if you have them, we will supply some if needed).

Meet: 9:00 AM Lower Sleepy Hollow Preserve. 1205 Lower Sunny Slope Rd Wenatchee. Back by 1 pm. Group Limit: 10. This event is free, but registration is required for this trip. Register here: https://wenatcheeriverinstitute.org/bird-fest/
