Hey Apple Orchardists!

The US Composting Council is looking for two more apple orchards in Central WA to participate in their Variable Rate Compost Trial (VRCT). Through this 5-year trial, you would receive up to $20,000 in free compost as well as annual soil health testing. There are some participation requirements, so please see the flyer below and reach out to Alexia Cooper at [email protected] if you are interested in participating!

Free Soil Testing

It’s that time of year again! In preparation for this year’s growing season, you may want to think about what lies underneath your feet. Soil health is the foundation for a good harvest, and soil testing is the only way to know what’s needed. If you’d like a FREE* soil test, contact Marcy at [email protected] or by calling 509-436-1601 ext #3

*Must meet eligibility criteria

The workshop is on Friday, March 20th at 10 am in Cashmere.

More information and registration can be found here: https://luma.com/h1p63g4d

We hope to see you there!  By the way, here’s a close-up photo of biochar just before the final step of the process.
