Discover Fire Ecology, Community Resources, and Public Transit with Bus with Us | Vamos Juntos
Link Transit invites community members to join the next Bus with Us | Vamos Juntos event on Saturday, October 10, featuring a guided transit trip to Columbia Breaks Fire Interpretive Center along Route 21.
Link Transit is partnering with Team Naturaleza, CAFÉ, and Cascadia Conservation District to travel together to Columbia Breaks Fire Interpretive Center, a unique landscape where the eastern foothills of the Cascade Mountains meet the shrub-steppe plateau of Eastern Washington. Along the way, riders will learn how public transit can connect them to recreational, educational, and community resources throughout the region. During the visit, participants will explore the Columbia Breaks Fire Interpretive Center and learn how fire has played a vital role in maintaining healthy ecosystems throughout the region. Guests will discover the history of wildfire, firefighting, and land management practices, while gaining insight into how fire stewardship and conservation efforts have evolved over time.
